The history of our company began in 1993 and we remained true to our original idea to transport goods to Eastern European and Asian countries.

We focused primarily on transporting goods to the Russian Federation and transports from the Russian Federation – this market represented the core business of MJ SPED for many years. After the turbulent changes in the eastern markets and the rapid decline in the trade balance between the EU and the Russian Federation, we managed to adapt and establish ourselves in Western European markets, too. This resulted in the growth of our company and of the number of delivered consignments.

Today, our most frequent transports include those to and from the Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Greece.

Growth of MJ SPED

After rapid decrease of trade balance between the Russian federation and the European union in 2015, the company focuses more to markets of the EU and Turkey and Balkans, which brings new possibilities and partnerships as well as growth of client base and numbers of delivered loads. Then 3 more colleagues are hired, and internal structures and processes are being built. Rail road forwarding focused on Kazakhstan and Russian federation is successfully part of our service portfolio.

Change of entrepreneurship

Legal entity of MJ SPED s.r.o was founded. We became focused more on providing complex services to cargo transportation, including insurance, customs clearance and stocking of the goods in a temporary warehouse. Our secondary focus is to optimize costs of our clients, by means of FTL and LTL services. The turnover of the company increased to 3, 5 – 4 mil.EUR, continually delivering more than 1000 shipments each year between EU – Russia & CIS states.

New experiences, first growth

The company was founded as a family firm. In 90s, the local Slovak industry wasn´t a big deal for international partners, hardly getting from socialist stereotypes. Despite of such situation, company succeeded to sign up strategic partnerships with foreign companies, what escalated the inner growth of our company, rapidly. In parallels, the main obstacle was missing transportation capacities. The biggest importance of those days for us was to find new carriers, train drivers and prepare them for each possible situation during transportations to Russia and surrounding countries.

MJ SPED has been operating on the market for more than 20 years and delivered over 25 000 shipments within the region of Eastern Europe and Asia. The main target destination stays Russia with more than 80% of overall volume. Company is getting modern, with stable domestic and international partner portfolio. Goodwill, professionalism, full package services, contemporary IT systems and effective marketing tools are bringing us many new demands for our services, each day. Obtained know–how, modernization of the company´s processes

New possibilities in IT within logistic sector appeared. Global usage of the Internet and new specialized programmes in the field influenced us so much and improved processes within the Company, as e.g. faster orders and invoicing. First 10 years of operations in logistics gave us wide usage of approaches and experiences, competitive advantage and know-how, what automatically escalated demand for our services, not only for Russia, but also surrounding countries. Our company increased our market ratio, for the whole region.

Company foundation

Mrs. Maria Jendekova decided to start entrepreneurship as Ing.Mária Jendeková – M.J.Šped in the field of cargo transportation for Russia & CIS, because of her previous working experiences. After the collapse of Soviet Union and Velvet revolution in Czechoslovakia, she was looking for some market gaps and new opportunities in her field. Aiming to Eastern markets was logical result of her attempts. Step by step, she got to know cultural diversity, custom procedures, bureaucracy and other specifics of the region.
